Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition within the legal industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in B2B marketing, preferably within the legal technology or professional services sector.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and revenue targets

  • Lead market research initiatives to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the legal technology sector

  • Create and manage annual marketing budgets, ensuring optimal ROI across all marketing channels

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish marketing KPIs and regularly report on performance metrics

Digital Marketing & Content Strategy

  • Oversee multi-channel digital marketing campaigns including SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing

  • Develop compelling content strategies that resonate with legal professionals, including whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and thought leadership pieces

  • Manage marketing automation platforms and lead nurturing campaigns to optimize the sales funnel

  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications

Event Marketing & Industry Relations

  • Plan and execute participation in legal industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events

  • Develop strategic partnerships with legal associations and industry organizations

  • Coordinate virtual and in-person events, including product demonstrations and educational webinars

  • Build relationships with key industry influencers and legal publications

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor and guide junior marketing team members, fostering professional development and growth

  • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and marketing service providers

  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to support company growth

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field

  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior marketing role

  • Proven experience in B2B marketing, preferably within legal technology, professional services, or SaaS industries

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, or similar)

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Google Analytics, CRM systems, and marketing performance tools

  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices and digital advertising platforms

  • Experience with content management systems and design tools

Core Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is an asset

  • Strong project management abilities with experience managing multiple campaigns simultaneously

  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities

  • Understanding of the legal industry landscape and legal professional buyer personas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Marketing, MBA, or relevant professional certification

  • Experience marketing to legal professionals or within the legal technology sector

  • Previous experience with account-based marketing (ABM) strategies

  • Knowledge of legal research methodologies and legal information systems

  • Bilingual proficiency (English/French) given our Quebec market presence

Location & Remote Work Policy

This position is open to candidates located anywhere in Canada, with a preference for candidates in Quebec given our strong presence in the Quebec legal market.
